As the Latino population is the rapidly growing population in Texas, therefore, their vote can make a big impact. As per U.S Census Bureau, nearly 40% of Texas’s population are Hispanic or Latino. Texas ranks second among the top five states with the most eligible Latino voters which are around 5.6 million as per Pew Research Center. As per the exit poll data, 66% of the Latinos voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and 28% voted for Donald Trump. The no of immigrant eligible voters in Texas is 52% Hispanic, 29% are Asian, 12% are white and 7% are black.
